I am not a journalist nor a politician nor from Saudi Arabia, but I have been fascinated about the sudden disappearance of a Washington Post Columnist and the circumstances in which he vanished from the face of the earth. The image of him stepping into the Saudi Consulate in Instabul Turkey has lurked on my brain and that of many across the globe who are of the same impression that what the agents of Saudi Arabia did to him was just outright wrong to say the least. Though he lived in constant fear of his own life, but he was a man full of life and a father of 4. Even though he was at the age of 59, he still had a full life ahead if him up a point where he thought he could get married. According the reports she was outside when Khashoggi went into the Saudi Console. What pain about this whole ordeal is the manner in which Khashoggi met his demise and by whom. One can only imagine what the 15 men from who flew in from Saudi Arabia the day Khashoggi enter the Consulate, did to one man. Clearly the Saudi are behind this monstrous act. The Crown Prince MBS was aware of it or his inner circle was.
I had read a little bit about the Middle East, the 1979 revolution in Iran- the rise and fall of the Shah, the return of Ayatola Khomeni, the Shia and Sunni uprisings across the Middle East, the bitter rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran and how their rivalry spread across the middle east as each of them strived to protect the dominance of either Sunni or shiaism in the respective arab states.
What makes Khashoggi’s case so unique and has called for an international attention is the fact that Saudi Arabia is the prime suspect behind Khashoggi’s disappearance even though they have changed their stories a thousand different times in an attempt to either cover up or deny they had nothing to do with the rumors that Khashoggi was chopped off into pieces and as of the time I am writing this no one knows what happened to his body. I can imagine what his children friends and family are going through knowing Khashoggi died in the Consulate but they don’t know what happened to his body. The Turkish government is doing his best to expose everything that happened to khashoggi in their country. They are leaving no stone unturned. They recently made public footage of one of the operatives who left consulate from behind wearing Khashoggi’s clothes, eye classes, to corroborate the lies they had put out in the media that Khashoggi had left the building unharmed. Its a biggest shame from a kingdom most people sort of hold in high esteem.
really shocking coming from SA!
