I knew something was wrong when, my property manager had mentioned to me that I need to call my landlord and ask him to renew my lease for a space I had occupied since Jan 15th of 2008. This was on June 1st 2018. They had planned to evict me from the 5 sq ft space I leased out for Buena vista Ballroom. I had spent over $150.000 over a period of 5 yrs to get the space legally approved by Howard County for a Ballroom for events.  The space had been leased out to a Power coating business that operated. As the days drew nearer and it was clear that I was going to be evicted, I tried to plead with the Landlord as we the new tenant how hard this is going to be. No one listened to me. I was taken to court and was asked to clear out the building October 15th the latest. The judge would not even listen to me. I guess this was what happened with most Landlord Tenant cases.  Back in June, I had stopped taking more reservations pass September.

During the same period, an auto garage tenant was also being evicted from one of the units and the landlord allowed us to move into his space. We started moving in October 15th. Prior to this date I wrote a letter to the guy taking over my space but he never responded. We moved into the empty garage during the whole month of October

Then came the tedious work of looking for an Architect who will draw out the plans for submission to Howard county plans and review. We didn’t get approval to begin construction till Jan 10th. We worked Day in Day out without rest.
